FINTEC SPRINGS-ARE THEY ANY GOOD???

Post by catgroom » Tue Jun 14, 2005 3:52 pm

Hi!

Rohan (van der graaf) and I have both recently shown our interest in Fintec springs. They are German springs which lower the 480 only 25-30mm.

I've asked www.volvo480.org ( as theyre closer to Germany!!!!) and await their response further........

Im not aware anyone on this forum has used them, but I've spent lots of time researching and saw that some VW owners from Germany say dont bother for the Golf, hmmmm Makes me a little sceptical that one!!!!

Any advice appreciated as ever!

Sod off,Dulux dog white is the best I could find!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll get a greeny one day!

By the way,she quotes 15 euros postage on top of 120 euros for all 4 springs for the 480 Turbo, not sure if theyre same as their S/ES ones.

So now my car will sit like Richard's,and still not be as quick!!!!! :D

Hi catgroom,
Sounds intresting..I have plans to replace my cars worn shocks in the near future and this could be a good excuse to change the springs as well.. a 25-30mm drop would suite the car well.
Please keep us updated how they are! :)

Hey Anton!!!!

I will yes!

Rich Pruen was saying to me yesterday that they are German TUV approved so thats good enough for me!!!!!

It is typical that now Iam to change the springs,I now know that I was meant to cut the bump stops down for the PI springs!!!!!! :cryhard: This means that I have done,in 2 480s,76000 miles with suspension that is far harder than it should be!!!!!! Right John Turbo??? At least thats what I think he meant.I mean,it wouldn't have given my springs much movement thinking about it!!!!!! :?
