Performance shocks-options???

Springs, shock absorbers, wheels. Questions about this can be asked in this category.

Performance shocks-options???

Post by VanDerGraaf » Tue Apr 05, 2005 9:39 am

I'd like to know and thought it might be useful for others:

What choices are there for those of us wanting uprated shocks for our 480?
Bilstien do some i think, also Koni (red and yellow).
Are there any other adjustable ones out there other than the Koni yellow?
situation is pretty crazy really; you can get, for example, Spax adjustable sprint dampers for the P1800 coupe ancestor, but not for 400 series!!??

That's all i could see, if you know more post it here.

I have been looking ito this as it seems that plan A is out of the window.

Leda do ajustable dampers for the 480, as well as a complete coilover kit.

Not the cheapest in the world, but they seem to be about the best that is available. The dampers are also rebuildable, so won't need replacement.

Details here

There are some others out there.

KONI do the red range and the yellow range. Ok the yellows aren't as cheap as the standard but are however adjustable and also come with a lifetime guarentee.

LEDA as already mentioned

McPherson not spelt right but my spelling is crap. They do an uprated shock and also full coilovers.

GAZ shocks were on about doing a coilover kit but i'm not sure if they went ahead with it or not

There is also one other but i can't think for the life of me who they are
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
