Hi does anyone know if 16" 4 stud S40 alloys would fit on a 480? or are they different or is there any oem 16" alloys that would fit from another manufacturer. I would like 16's on my own '94 it currently has 15" it but don't want to put cheap universal aftermarket crap, or has anyone suggestions on what aftermarket on are good quality

I had an S40 and the wheels do NOT fit a 480 tried them but they are not the right hole spacing.

The 400 series have quite a unique set of wheels. Spacing 4x100 mm, hub 52.1 mm and ET 40.

Cranna has a very unusual set of 16" on his, not sure if there are any pictures of it but they look quite smart in flesh, not always everybody's cup-o-tea but very bling!

Just google "Wheel Fitment Guide" - there are many websites with cross-platform information; 'wheelfitment.eu' is one.

Some of the websites are really slick and let you search on PCD (4x100 as stated). PCD is the most critical, bore and offset depends how much you want to deviate / physically possible with arch/caliper clearance.

Good luck!

you have to be very careful when looking at new wheels for the offset and width!

generally you dont want more than a 205 width tyre (so a 7.5" width rim) and on a 7.5" rim you should lookfor an offset of around ET38 i think, see below link for a good wheel fitment guide! :) if you read the first reply then go shopping to the effect of what you want you'll be fine!

as for brands it really depends on your money! CADES make some nice wheels and are of decent quality! failing that a lot of 90's cars came with 16" BBS wheels from factory, they could be had quite cheap and give a good look but you'd have to watch the width and offset of them!
