Can you fit 17" 215/45 (mm/% of height) wheels on a 480

I've found som wheels from a Renault, that i would like to fit on my 480 Turbo. The bolts and ET fits corectly, only an adapter for the centrumhole i needed. The only question i have left is if it will fit. Standard wheels are 14" 175/65, the wheels i want are 17" 215/45 (mm/% of height). So the are 40 mm wider, 20 mm on each side i guess.

Are they going to fit? Or are they to big!

I think they may be too big - I have 205/40/17s on mine and although it's OK, there is some scrubbage on the inside of the tyres at full lock - I can only imagine this scrubbage to be worse with an extra 10mm on top of that...

Also need to make sure the offset is correct too...

I've read at your homepage that you lowered the car 40mm! Were there any scrubbage before lowering the car? Or did it not make any major difference?

I've checked the offset, and it's off by 1mm. So i think it will work fine.
