Installing the Eibach(Hausser) lowering springs

So, I discovered Eibach really did make lowering springs for 480 :)
These are the Hausser lowering springs that do -30mm drop.

The Eibach stamp along with the Hausser stamp.

Fronts don't have the Eibach stamp on them. Or I just didn't find them.

Image
New yellow Koni sports to the rear instead of Bilsteins. The old lowering spring set was Lesjöfors.

Image
Sorry for the bad pic. The new golden Hausser and new "yellow" koni installed :)

Image
The old Lesjö and the Hausser side by side - almost identical. Lesjö seems to have a bit more length on the wire.

And the results.

Height from center of the wheel to the top of wheel arch.

With Lesjöfors springs and Bilstein shocks.
Front 36cm Rear 32½cm(!)

With Hausser springs and Koni shocks.
Front 34½cm Rear 35cm.

And after.

The measurements have been taken within a hour of the installation so I recon it'll drop a bit before it settles.

Nice job!

The springs will eventually drop to their normal point, they are a little stiff because they are new since the 90's. Like the rear, the front ones are from Eibach too, I guess they were special made for Hausser because I can't find anything in the history of Eibach that they made springs for the 4xx's.

Personally, I would combine German spring with German dampers, but it might be a silly thing of me.

Probably Eibach made a small batch for Hausser.

PS any progress on the B18E?
