Volvo 480 Club Europe

I was looking at top mounts for the front struts a few weeks ago and then I found some on Ebay that would fit both the Renault R19 and Megane, as wel as the Volvo 400 series. Now I cannot find them anymore.

The reason I ask is that on http://www.eurocarparts.com they list an SKF top mount set for the 480, the same as for the R19 and the Megane. But when I look in the online catalog from SKF there is no top mount specified for the Volvo 400 series. I'm wondering if I order the set for the Renault at a local part store if I get the right ones for my 480.

Anyone an idea?

why have renault.if you enter volvo 480 on this site it comes with 480 top mounts.

I know, but I won't order it at that site because the p&p costs to the Netherlands are 20Pounds + vat. I can order SKF stuff here locally. For that reason I need to know if the Renault ones are the same, as SKF doesn't list any for the 400 series. Eurocarparts lists the same SKF top mount (according to their own part number) for the 400 series and for the Renaults. Just want to be sure if they are the same for those cars, as SKF themself doesn't list these top mounts for Volvo.

Well, Eurocarparts just listed it wrong. I've mailed them to ask which SKF part number their top mount is, as SKF doesn't list the top mounts for the 400 series. In the reply was a SKF number which is from the bearing between the lower side of the spring and the strut (what is the name of this bearing??). So, it isn't a top mount like listed on their website and like I was looking for.

Are there any other manufacturers making replacement top mounts for the 480 or is it dealer only?

I bought the top mounts from dealer. The part from SKF is probably the (turning?) bearing from between the spring seat and the shock. You know it is gone when you hear loud banging noise when turning wheels or it is heavy to turn.

Yes, it is that bearing. I also want to replace these, but the top mounts too. What did you pay for the top mounts at the dealer?

They probably got some list in other SKF products. I just found Volvo V40 Strut Bearing at SKF.
