Banzai...
Basically, my car hit a well badly obscured from view pthole the other day and has caused the spring to come off the seating position on the top-mount. The springs back in place, but the the spring rubbing against the rubber gator on the top part of the shock has caused it to split.
Obviously i don't want all the shit running down inside of my shock as they look only a few years old. Can the rubber gator thingy be bought as a seperate part? I'd be surprised if not, i just can't remember if it came off the shock or not since doing my springs! My memory is terrible!
Cheers in advance...

@ Mart-i'll see if i can get one...
@ Groom-no worries....if you're not, i'm not! Nah, who am i fuckin' kiddin
I've got another question too. Can anybody post a pic of their lowering springs before they were fitted to the car?
I'm having trouble with the spring popping out on the drivers side. The top mounts are fine, but the collar on the drivers side topmount (on the underside) is not stopping the spring slipping out of place. It's as if the first coil slopes down to early if you know what i mean: as in, there isn't a complete circle of spring at the top of the spring, so there's nothing to stop the spring moving about.
Am i making sense?

Take both top mounts out mate.
Drill 2 holes in each 180 degrees opposing.
Refit and cable tie top mounts to springuses.
The jobs a good 'un!
