Groaning/creaking is driving me mad!!
I am slowly being driven round the twist by creaking/groaning from the o/s rear of my Turbo.
I fitted new drop links but the problem has persisted.
I suppose it could be bushings but i really don't know.
The thing that i don't understand is that by if i lie underneath the car and touch/hold the spring whilst i move the car body, the noise ceases.
I have stopped it for a while by wedging a bit of foam in between the spring coils, but i really want a proper fix.
This is with the Lesjofors lowering springs- i don't remember this happening when i had the old standard springs on!
So does anyone think it is the spring itself, or a by-product of worn bushes etc?
Perhaps the damping rate of the koni shocks isn't very compatible with these springs?
I might try putting standard shocks in (easy to try), but does anyone else have any ideas?

just to add this .. i've had no problems with my Lesjofors lowering springs (touch wood) and running them with rear KYB shocks.

I have just replaced all shocks and bushes bar the torque arms and rear drops to implrove handling, which it has done nicely, and this has also solved the creaking and squeaking i used to get. Probably your trailing arm bushes? Not sure why holding the spring would make a difference?I used to get the WD40 out on the bushes and moving parts and see what stopped the noise.

Thanks guys for your input!
I had thought of changing this lot actually, realising that this is the probable cause of the graoning makes me want to get it done even more!
I actually scored 4 Volvo wishbone bushes on Ebay recently for a decent price, maybe i should "get the set" and take it to Volvomax, who may offer to fit them in exchange for several packets of crisps and a bottle of Irn-Bru.
I'm not sure about doing it myself because although it doesn't look hard, I have no idea where or how I'd get access to a big vice.
