Which Wheels?

Post by 98kellrs » Sat Jan 20, 2007 1:40 pm

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a decent set of wheels (don't move me to Parts wanted section as im not asking for anyones!!), i'm looking at compomotive MO's, and hoping to squeeze some 16 x 8 into the custom arches I'll make for them.

However, being a student, I don't have reems of cash to throw at it, and so am looking to go second hand. I was wondering if anyone knew the offset requirements for the 480's, or possibly which cars have a similar offset (as most websites don't list Volvo 480's in their 'suitable applications' sections).

Any help would be greatly appriciated :D
Ryan.

Current Status: A very impressive track car. :-D

its ther eon google somewhere my man, but in any case you're after a centre bore of 52 (which you WILL NOT be able to get as small as, no matter what)

and 35-38mm offset. 4x100

polos are about right, don't think corsasa are far off eiter, but like i said, try harder with google....in fact i'll even find it for you...thats love....

Thanks John, I'd found something similar, but it didn't have as many manufactureres or model's on it and I couldn't find any matches... Does this riddiculously small bore mean that it's near impossible to get wheels that'll fit? Or do they need to be bored out?

nah, it means that loads 'kinda' fit, but none properly fit.

Without the centre bore matching, vibration at speed is likely.

My 17s vibrated on FCW but don't on EVU. YOu just need to be really progressive at nipping up the bolts to get them to centre right.

I can't seem to find spigot rings, but it would be possible to have some made.
