The ultimate lowering springs topic

Post by hebruins » Sat Sep 23, 2006 5:41 pm

After fitting the 17" wheels on the 480 turbo, I'm now planning to lower the car somewhat.
Now Ive read lots here ont he forum but can't find what I need.

- What kinds of brands are there?
- Who lowers how much?
- How do they perform (stifness and sagging)

I'm looking for -30mm springs seeing with 40mm the rear looks a bit to low (or it sertainly wil after a bit of sagging), also I want to prevent rubbing.

Std the front rideheight is more than in the rear, so the ideal lowering setup would be 40mm up front and 30mm at teh rear. I've found a set of springs that do 45/30 but those cost £140,- excluding shipping

Any advice and or info on the lowering springs you use? (preferably with some photo's of the car with the springs fitted)

Hang fire, Lee's looking into doing some custom progressive -30mm stiffened springs. Group buy.

I fitted spring from INTRAX, but you can call any spring maker to ask for the springs that you need. Often they have springs that comply laying around, or else they can make them for you. (As said in a different spring topic)
