my rear shocks look bad

Post by carl needham » Sat May 06, 2006 8:37 pm

whilst grinding rust from my rear arches and repainting I noticed that the outer casings to my rear shockers have mostly corroded away :( . Is this something to worry much about? changing shock absorbers sounds like a tricky or expensive job to me, has anyone ever done a photoguide on changing them? or advise on how to replace welcome

its soooo simple its unreal!!

take off road wheel and put car on axle stand
remove top shock bolt
remove bottom shock bolt
remove shock
put in new shock
do up the two bolts again!!

new shocks are about £40 a pair :)

no, add a couple of zeros to the end of that for a volvo quote!
Check euro car parts, they do decent ones there for about £20 each i think.
