Unlowering

Post by chris1roll » Mon Nov 14, 2005 8:48 pm

Never thought I would say this, but on Saturday, I put standard springs back on my car, 5000 mile tyre changes were wearing a little thin, so to speak.

But What a difference!

The steering is much much lighter, the power steering doesn't scream at me,
and there are no more knocking noises from the front struts...

And the handling...It feels better, more poised and agile.

I prefer it!

Shame it makes the wheels look a bit small.

That's why I went with the compramise of unlowering, a bit - PI's to Fintec's. Car still looks great, but I gain the benefit of a much more comfortable ride.

I know what you mean though! :D

definatly getting old. Stop moaning about tyre changes wimp!

As for the handling I can confirm on a smooth road the lowered 480 will piss all over the standard. Remembering I drive both I have the best comparison

Oh, and also last Saturday I bought two new michelins to go on the front, (again) and had the tracking done.
Now, dead ahead on the wheel is dead ahead, and when you let go of it, it stays there. It would never do that lowered, tracked or not.
