I had the pleasure of driving my 440 turbo today, but for once i didn't have the stereo on. Anyway i noticed that the whole car was creaking, it sounded like it was coming from the suspension, everytime i turned the wheel there was creaking, everytime the car went over a speed hump, the same happened. I have noticed it before, it usually happens when it is sunny and in hot weather.
What specific parts of the suspension could this be? Is it something that is recommended to be replaced? or would it be ok to continue using the car like this?
I generally don't take corners very fast, but i do notice that the car has a fair amount of bodyroll and doesn't really appreciate it when i do.
Any comments would be appreciated,
Cheers,
Ed

When I got my 480 it creaked at the front end, turned out to be the anti-roll bar bushes (the ones that hold it to the chassis not the ends), they had been replaced but they weren't in the brackets properly, 5 mins and it was sorted
Yours could be a similar problem, just check any/all rubber bushes on the suspension/steering, could be a similar problem to mine or some might need replacing
Hope that helps

Dont know what your noise could be but a nice bodykit would look good on it... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... B:RTQ:UK:1
probably the link rods that connect the anti roll bar to the struts, these wear amazingly quick.
you can get new ones for about £15 (non-volvo) and its very easy to fit them.
to be sure why not try unbolting them and then bounce the car.
