What's Causing The Knocking?

Post by Dan the 480 Man » Sun Sep 25, 2005 6:01 pm

Hello..

It's not my 480, but my Dad's...it's slowly driving him mad!

Right, it goes a little something like this...:
At very low speed i.e. reversing out of the driveway or 'poodling' along at approx. 3-5mph, his car has developed a hollow-sounding knocking noise from the rear. The shocks have been replaced (Gas) but has not cured the problem. Could it be a wheel bearing? :dunno:

He really is going slowly
