Just a simple one: is the top mount design the same through the life of the 480 or are thy different on older/newer cars?
Was thinking i might steal them off my ES for the Turbo if they are (along with lots of other stuff ).

i think they are all interchangeable if you use the matching struts, if you see what i mean?
the earlier ones have a bolt that goes through the engine bay and into a thread in the top mount. the later ones have a bolt fixed to the top mount which then passes through the body and a nut fits on top of it. its hard to describe but obvious when youve seen it!!
if you are scrapping the ES we will need to have a chat about light clusters....

Hello chaps!!!!!!!
Rohan if you do the job,all I can say is that its well worth it.It does make your steering fel more silky and the ride comfort is miles better.I would stress, however, that if you put on top mounts, make sure you get the nuts to go onto the mounts. As Murf mentioned there are the 2 types.Mine is a 95/M but curiously had bolts.
I ended up taking 2 nuts off the spiral staircase so I could go out grooming in mine!!!!!!!!!!
If yer stuck and forget, the front nut that holds the ABS unit into it's cradle will fit,and get you to a dealer and back, but isnt nyloc so MAY work loose-not that it happened to me though-well,I hadn't thought of the stairs at this point!!!!!
Yeeeeehhaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
