changing from non vented to vented discs
If you do this you will need 15 inch wheels, I know.
But is it possible to change brake calipers from the non vented one without ABS to the vented one without ABS ???
I heard some versions of the 480 had vented types without ABS.
Am I right ???
But :::
Is it possible or should I alter more when I want to do this ???

Yes the disc / bake caliper doesn't know or car if you have ABS. You will also need the caliper braket to fit the calipers. It's possibly easier to swap the whole thing as one piece if you can.
There are also some 14 inch wheels that will fit on cars with vented discs, but not all of the 14 inch wheels will work. Nice volvo standardisation for you

Well, atlas is I believe 15 inch, pollux is the most common and it is 14 inch.
But is it possible to change them without any other mods such as the thing on the bulkhead (that round thing, do not know the name in English).
Do not forget that I have standart non vented discs in the front.

Yes you can change them.
It's easier to swap the whole stub axle assembaly, as taking the caliper mounting brakets off isn't easy. It doesn't mater if you have the ABS type, just remove the sensor. Once you connect up the brake lines and bleed the system everything will work as it should.

You may find that the 14 inch wheels won't turn with the bigger calipers. Some do fit ok, and others won't.
My spares car had 14 inch wheels, so I am sure that some will fit. Trying some others that where lying arround shows that not all of them will
I'm not sure how to tell what will fit and what won't.

changing
Oke, got 15 inch Taurus wheels, but now...............
But what do you need to do do install Vented discs in the front if you have parts from a 95'Gt 2.0 ???
How can you install ABS,discs, and everything to get the system to work ???
Do you need to change CEM or pcb's or whatever ???
Many thanks and greetz
Remember, I have a 1991 turbo with solid discs in front and no abs.

To fit ABS would be far, far too much work.
New loom and ECU, then you have to change the brake reservoir, fit the accumulator, fit wheel sensors...fit something for the wheel sensors to sense, change a lot of the brake lines etc.
I briefly considered this when i did the turbo conversion...
However, you can fit the vented brake discs and calipers, to upgrade to vented discs....discs and calipers is discs and calipers!
