i used to live near derby and loved going around buxton and crich on thoose bendy 1 track roads, what will really help you a lot is to goto europarts in Nottingham or stockport depending on which end of the peaks your in and spending £115 on BILSTEIN shocks allround, this will make a huge difference, please note that this is very cheap for bilsteins and for most cars cost at least twice this. also europarts sell slotted brake discs (solid only ) for £47 all price include VAT, then buy some sticky tyres off ebay and your done . NANKANG ,TOYO etc

140mph for £175 just test the brakes
Of course you can lower the beast - and good luck to you <lived in Derby till I was just old enough to drive - then parents dragged me to Brum - which makes for a 35min treck up the A38 of nights to get to the /good/ roads!>
Get poly-urethene bushes for the roll bars and Bilstien shocks - hmm!
These cars where BUILT for such black top
Avon do some nice tyres to glue you to the road

Have checked with powerflex, and they would want £300 just to tool up, thats without actually having any made, and they will only do that if they get so many garuanteed orders (which they won't).
None of the "universal" bushes come anywhere close to the sizes we need, so the only chance is if you know of another car that uses the exact same bushes ( ) They won't check because a) its very very unlikely, and b) it would take absolutley ages and cost them money.
Replacing the 10+ year old bushes with new volvo ones will make a big difference, most of all the front wishbone bushes, They cost about £50 for all 4 from volvo, and aren't that hard to do.
Did mine the other weekend, and it tightened the handling up no end

bushes
BRAYDON MOTOR COMPANY in london do 4 scantech wishbone bushes for only £20 or alternatively you can buy the wishbones(whole thing with new bushes already in) from europarts for £42 each, the later being the easy way to do it.
140mph for £175 just test the brakes
