Just a though, and I might be waaaaay off the mark here, but could it possible that Volvo designed the front suspension setup for their LHD cars so that it was supposed to pull to the left, and would counteract the camber that you would get from driving on the right hand side of the road. When they came to make the RHD version of the 480, they simply left the suspension setup as it was. I notice that most of the people who had the pulling left problem are from the UK, and would all be RHD cars.

Also, I thought MatBat did some experiments adjusting the panhard rod, and I see to remember that part of the reason he did this was to try and correct the pulling left problem. Not sure what the outcome was though.

I also did some some experiments by making an adjustable panard rod but it didn't help. Just made the one of the rear wheels scrub. I get the feeling my car is slightly twisted. Took my front sub frame off and as far as i can tell its not bent! D'oh!

Interesting reading!

I've had my 480 GT Celebration since May and it has always pulled to the left. It was in the hands of my mechanic for a week recently where he changed the front suspension and re-tracked the whole car. He said that the car had been involved in an accident but was happy the car was now fixed. Hmmm.... Although there was a significant improvement the car STILL pulls to the left on the motorway - I can't believe a car would be designed to do that, even taking into account torque steer.

I love my car, but its driving me nuts!

(sor :wall: ry for the waffle - its' my first time.....)

and if the Panhard Rod at the rear was fitted diagonally, sloping in the other direction,it would pull to the right too!Seriously!
