Tracking problem

Post by catgroom » Fri Sep 17, 2004 12:49 pm

Hi everyone!

I went to my tracking people yesterday to have track re-set after dismantling n/s suspension.

Proudly,I'd got it spot on!BUT,the rear flags on the tracking equipment showed 5 one side and 8 the other. So,I was going down the road in a crabbing stylie!!!!!

Why would this have happened? They did the obvious, and wound each track road across at the front until the front and rears were as they should be and boy,3 degress, what a mega difference,I thought it had become a tad corner biased!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any help will be read and digested with great fervour and thought!!!!!!

AHAAAAAAA! :hopping:

whoever did it before didn't do it right, i.e they got the front wheel toe in correct, but not in relation to the rear wheels. there must be the same number of threads visible on each track rod end.

There's also adjustment at the rear, where the trailing arm on the offside attaches to the body, this is in a slot so can move if bumped, after time, if removed etc. This changes the whole allignment of the rear
