At my local scrapyard.
Whats the correct name for it? its a Momo one with the volvo cover.
And should i ditch my airbag and fit it? I'm thinking i should as it would look tons better.
and no its not for sale.
i'd never get back the £5 i paid for it :D

Great find!

Ditch the Airbag, you'll need to shorten the steering shaft though for the hub ( I assume you got that too!) to fit.

I believe dragon has had experience in this.

Yup, got the hub. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw it. it was purely by chance too. I was only in the Volvo section for bits for my mums 460!
going back there on monday for a rake about
loads of scrap 480's at really cheap prices

I am replacing my entire steering column with one from a non SRS car. That way I can sell the entire SRS column as well as steering wheel with unused airbag.

You did good! Just joined the club and found gold dust! Same price I paid too. These sell for lots from volvo and are very sought after. Out of interest, what colour are the stripes on yours on the bottom section? Anyone know if they did different to my red/white one?? The pic looks different to me that's all..

Can immagine it's an akward decision to make to remove an airbag by the way, so... not going to say anything else about it.! If dragon has done it i'm sure he's researched it well.

the stripes are light blue with a darker blue above it. According to the brochures i've got on the 480 it was the only colour it came in. I've even got an original price list fo 400 series accessories too!

I reckon i will swap the wheel in time. all i want to do at the moment though is get the car!

Keep the wheel. They feel much much better than the normal..

So anyone else got the red and white stripes?
