Anti roll bar link URGENT

Hi all

Skip is back from the garage for tracking (was 6mm off to the left) ahead of the meet but it needs a anti roll bar link (droplink) rear passenger side. Nothing serious but the knocking sound is driving me insane.

What do I need to look for and where in order to get one, I don't even know what it looks like anyway. Ideally I would have that done before the meet.

Moi

This is one.

You can find cheaper, left and right are the same and not a difficult job.

Thank you

Very inexpensive. Should I change both or the defective one only?

Personally I would change both, if one is that bad the other may not be far behind.

One last question. Is this something I can do myself? I am not a tool and I've got tools. Would it just be a matter of jacking the car up and undo a couple of bolts or am I being hopelessly optimistic :)

Actually that is pretty much it. Provided the nuts and bolts stay intact.

Excellent

Will place order and fix all that before the meet. Thank you for your help :)

Also, might sound obvious to some but don't try and jack the car one side at a time or you will put torsion on the ARB and will have a tough job getting the bolts out but an even worse job getting them back in. I did this a couple of years ago and noticed the bolts were too long for the space available so they were rubbing on the inside of the wheelarch inner. Might be worth checking for signs of rubbing before taking it apart as you may need shorter bolts, or you could just file them down like I ended up doing. Might just be a one-off down to whoever changed the ARB drop links before me though. They can be quite stiff and the bolts can move about as the bar flexes - bloody knuckles! Good luck. :D

Thanks for the insight. I can always rest the rear on the wheels with a some wood so as not to damage them. 1 wheel on each side.

Had that on the replacement fronts when I replaced them, cheap ones off fleebay, had to cut them down.

The rubber also only lasted 3 months before cracking and was the reason I chose not to change the rears recently in my referb.

I leave on Friday so I will have to replace (at least one) next week. Funny enough, Ed China was replacing them on a Porsche 993 yesterday :)

Anti roll bar drop link changed. Took about an hour but the knocking sound is gone and Skip is a lot less.......wobbly(?) at the rear. Might change the other one but not before this week end.

Thank you all for your help once again :)
