i've got a weird sound that i think is comming from the rear of my 480 gt , comes on at around 50 mph & seems to get louder the faster i go . sound like wheel bearings.
or could it be gearbox ??? help /advice please

Erm... The gearbox is at the front, so the noise would be coming from there if so.
Rear wheel bearings do start to hum, mine did, getting slightly louder when turning (when the weight transfers to the appropriate wheel)
Also worth checking for siezed rear calipers
