Ouch, a few days before the Luxembourg meeting the power steering in my 480 decided to die. The pulley is completely stuck so it seems some bearings have blocked... The result was that the belt flew of the pulley but luckily didn't hit the drive belt.
So now I am looking for options to get the 480 running again before the meeting. Luckily Erwin / Storm480 has a power steering pump left over from his 1995 2.0 - I was wondering if this is the same unit as on the 1995 1.7Turbo?
I made a picture of the unit under the bonnet, hopefully someone knows (before I spent 2 days waiting for a unit that won't fit...).

Re: Power steering pump - interchangeability
I think the only difference is due to AC or no AC. And that is probably just a matter of changing the pulley.

Re: Power steering pump - interchangeability
Well, in the end it turned out there was no problem with the unit... The ANWB had made a false conclusion... After cutting out the old belt the pulley of the power steering pump was rolling perfectly smooth. A new belt and all has worked flawlessly all the way to Luxembourg and back
