Lower suspension arm bushes

Post by Rachel » Wed May 06, 2009 12:41 pm

hello.
I had changed my lower suspension arm as the bush had had it. I thought it easier to just remove and replace the whole thing. It seems that the bush in it is going already...only a year one, and is in fact nearly as bad as the other side which I have never touched.

I'm looking at replacing both sides at some point in the near future, so where can I get decent ones from and at a good price? I take it that from Volvo they would be stupid money.

Cheers

I got quoted £27 inc vat each from dealership, found it next to impossible to get them else where, Fiesta bushes can be pressed in, friend in Ireland put poly bushes made for a fiesta in his 480, not sure which MK it was but I can find out there is just a little flange on one side that needs removing.

For piece of mind I'd fit the proper Volvo ones.

Cheers :D

Poly bushes would be good.

I will have to ring Volvo then when my funds begin to recover (they have taken a huge bashing lately :( )

Just a word of advice but I would always do everything in pairs to prevent any probs! It may not be important, it may just be an OCD rofl

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)
