Volvo 480 rear anti roll bar

Post by bkf_uk » Tue May 05, 2009 2:00 pm

Right, would it be possible for some one to take a pic and post it here of the rear anti roll bar on there 480? have been told by a few people now that the 440 wasnt fitted with this and as such it makes the rear end of the car VERY wobbly on corners. have also been told the mouting points for it are there (as it uses the same floor pan as a 480) and as such i can retro fit one to make the 440 handling somewhat more pleasant. getting fed up of thinking i need to fit castors to the wing mirrors due to the excessive body roll.
Toys:-
2001 Ford focus (not as much fun as my volvo was!)
94 440 turbo auto (Sent to the main dealer in the sky :cryhard: )
92 Suzuki gn250 (Still in rebuild)

Yes mate, some 440's have them and some dont. Any rear anti roll bar of the 400 series will fit and yes the mounting points are there. Dead easy to do, but the most expensive parts will be a set of new drop links! Go up the scrap yard like I did and pull one off (dont forget the rubber bushes and brackets for the roll bar), you'll notice a big difference at rear...and why not fit a nice new set of rear shocks while your there?

the c30 is guilty of being one of the best looking current hatchbacks on the road.it still wears the badge. if you want to see plagiarism look at the new vw scirocco.
