Koni yellows and pi lowering springs - solid as a rock, affordable, makes a 480 into a gokart - no need for anything fancier.

The best price I can find for the konis is £520. This about right? Seems quite a lot!

I'm going to see how the yellow konis like Hausser -30mm springs. Current Lesjöfors springs drop the rear too much .

having ran lowered and now standard springs with stiffer dampers this is the better way to go.dont forget the standard springs are sporty compared to most car. I am convinced the dampers make more difference thean springs.it is so sure footed now.nd good ride.if you go too hard spring on a bumpy road your wheels can be scuttled sideways on corners if not carefull.and yes kyb are good equipment.i have them on rear.about 10% stiffer than standard.very good.also good wishbones make big difference. that is the size of my experience.cheers :lol:thanks.

Yes I did :) If you mean the springs. The Konis I bought from Bakke if I remember correctly.

@ ted - you can use the edit button to add stuff to your previous post - you don't have to post several messages in a row ;)

Nice! Haha, I've bought these sets from Hausser last year and now the springs are everywhere :hopping:

When you're going to fit them?

Poly bushes! That's what you need. My BMW has them omg it's made the handling so much better :-) I'm trying to source volvo 240 ones and found a maker without problem but I did find a small company selling and I have mailed them about 480 ones.

Keep you posted.

BTW I now feel scantech wishbones are not good rubber. More GSF then volvo qty. I had them on vader and they fall apart when you lower the car. On standard ride heigh? Maybe OK ??? Feedback please.

dont mean to worry you. TBH since I joined the bmw forum it's opened my eyes to such things a build qty. I was always happy to fit gsf rubber but there are many threads about the rubber not lasting more then 6months on anti roll bars bushes and links which I been reading. I know for a fact my scan tech did not last long (lowered) I replaced most other stuff with volvo parts. The BMW stuff is only now started to fail and even after 21yrs it's only a tear on my front w/bones but now I'm poly bushed.

Fitting 35mm drop springs tomorrow. I hope yours are OK tbh! Maybe I had a crappy pair.

reply was nooo :-(

No interest at all which sucks really. His not even doing the 240's. Maybe universal if someone measures the bushes or what about rose points?

I think one of my back springs may need to be replaced at my next mot, so may as well make an improvement! I dont want my ride to be any harder & dont want to lower (I recon my celebration is much stiffer than my old ES, is that just the lower profile tires?). So any spring & shock advice welcome?

K.A.W set with regulated height, or Koni. Red Koni are soft, yellow are stiffer and also regulated, but only stiffness.

my red koni's are still a lot stiffer than standard, they have off car adjustment by turning the plunger when fully compressed. stiffens both up and down more than i will ever need.
