Track Rod End - Easy or hard?

Post by suddy » Wed Apr 01, 2009 8:24 am

I'm getting a judder from the passanger side (felt through the steering wheel) when braking down from 70-60mph, doesn't do it at any other speed range.
It's not this disc, pads, wheel, suspension, loose bolts etc etc (checked all this), which leads me to beleive that it could be the track rod end.

If its an easy job to replace, I might as well go ahead and do it. Do I need any special tools? HBOL says that it's a 4 spanner job and i need a ball joint seperator, but in principal it looks easy.? Any advice greatly appriciated.
