Post by aibast » Mon Nov 03, 2008 6:20 am

Can anyone help me on this one. I need to remove the steering wheel as local garages can't align the wheels proper and I had to do it myself. So now the steeringwheel is sitting strainge need to readjust it.

starightforward job use an allen key to the 2 recessed nuts on the back of the central part of steering wheel. Gently lift off and disconnect the small gren plug attached to the ribbon cable.

now the careful bit

loosen nut and remove the steering wheel with one hand
with the other hold the small clear plastic "dish" to stop it moving it has a coil spring inside and needs to be in the centre of the number of times it coils up so it does not snap when you go full lock!Replace wheel in correct alignment then redo in reverse order

not hard a second pair of hands can be useful (never needed one myself ) especially if the person is a nubile good looking female ;)
