Parts Advice

Post by 480 Tatey » Thu Jul 24, 2008 6:27 pm

Hi guys,
Finally identified the dodgy creek from the steering (volvo stealers) and they have quoted me £202 for the following with part numbers -

Report.
Traced to both suspention legs, disconnected link rods from legs, only slight improvement with noise. Suspect suspention leg seats and bearings, would be worth replacing link rods too.

V003472744 MOUNTING BLOCK, R
V003472743 MOUNTING BLOCK, L
V003410709 COVER X2 ?????
V003411070 BEARING X2
V003467714 STAY R.H
V003467713 STAY L.H

Is there any other good supplier of Volvo parts or of equivilant standerd? I heard parts for volvo mentioned??

Thanks again

in other words they dont know !!!!!

why would an engine mount give you a creak in your steering. if your engine mount is dodgy then your engine will throw itself forward and back and you will notice that for certain.

looks like hey are covering all bases and your picking up the tab !

do a search on engine mounts and you will find out how to check them.
