Alloys rub against body - solutions anybody?

Post by glasgowjim » Mon Aug 13, 2007 10:28 am

Dont usually drive daughters car skippy but recently tried to turn full lock and found severe rubbing noise on the NS F turned out that it was her after market alloys that are rubbing against chasis/body work (when turning clockwise ) the OSF wheel just has clearance and no more .
The alloys have been after market what can I do do I need "spacers" as this is the first time I have had this problem.

My 205/45/r17s rub. They hit the chassis leg. I just ignore it, as its not really hurting anything for them to rub there at 3-4 mph on full lock.

My 17's (205/40) used to rub also. Failed the MOT on that which is why I had to borrow MatBat's 15's with more narrow tyes.

Looking good if you forget the dirt lol.

try smaller tyres if its only rubbing slightly or otherwise you may need spacers
