Whats going on
I'm trying to get my car back together after leaving my front hubs with someone to press new bearings in.. One side seems fine, but the other is having problems.
When attaching the brake disk and then the first section of the caliper (without the pads) it seems to be fouling on the disc when the 2 bolts are done up. Whichis locking the wheel. Something isnt right.
How likely is it that they have bent my hub (the mount lobes for the caliper) ?? Either that or the stub axle carrier isn't driven fully home, but it looks ok to me.
And its just started blood raining! Aaaaaarrrrrgh!

I can't help with your question, but "blood raining" doesn't sound good at all! Conjures up images of something from Blade...pol wrote: And its just started blood raining! Aaaaaarrrrrgh!

If I remember correctly I had same problem with my right side front hub. Left was ok right away as I put it on. Right side did wiggle a bit before I put the wheel on. I was sure it was gone bad. After the wheel was on - no wiggling what-so-ever. Didn't know why it was like that but it has been fine since.

I've hammered the fucker back in to shape! Dont know if it'll be any good yet but it's not fouling on the disk now. It must have been bent. I heard the bearing on that side was a pig to remove. Must have taken some force to bend it. The caliper floats anyhow so the brakes should be fine. If not, i'll need a new stub-axle + bearing as well as my snapped driveshaft stub! What a c**t!
Raining blood would have been the icing on the cake!
