Sachs Boge part numbers - info

Post by pol » Mon Feb 19, 2007 9:50 pm

I've been digging around on the information super highway, trying o make sure I buy the right shocks. I have a part number from myfront damper on my turbo : 446898 - It seems this would match the ones on parts for volvo online here. Which is good. I also found some catalogues for sachs / boge along with an apendix of parts numbers once given by volvo. There are a few parts numbers all relating to the same new sachs / boge part number '115 430' - the catalogues and appendix ishere
Sachs boge site

It'd be interesting if other people could get their parts numbers from their shocks and see if they are the same part number. Just want to know if different gradesof shocks are being sold as replacements or if they are all the same??

Anyway, for my car, (3)446893 = 115 430.

I've checked the appendix for the part number 115 430 (sachs boge code) and it seems to only be a volvo part. Was just curious if the same part would be for other manufacturers. But no...

That part is a Sachs advantage shock, its gas and supposed to be a little firmer/sportier than standard I think.

I have just bought a set of these for Scar, so I'll report on how they are whenever I fit them.
