This is almost the same design as mine. Only difference is my adjuster is in the middle

Errm, yeah, that steel tubing has a 3mm wall, and took 8 tonnes of pressure to bend, so it won't be flexing in a hurry!
All the universal ones we've seen seem to be made out of mickey mouse metal....
