Hey all, I need some new tyres for my 1994 480 GT, running on the original Alloys. Currently it has two different sizes on the front and back for some odd reason, I Spoke to volvo and they said 185/55 R14s are right for my car, can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

My local dealer have only just started doing Volvo, everytime I go there I have to point out on there system which parts my car has even though when I give them the Reg/Chassis # they should be given all the information specific to my car like every other Volvo dealer I've ever used, they are F*ing useless and I've made two complaints already in a few weeks.

I guess this may be to do with the irradication of VADIS at dealerships, as the old Dealer here used to use it, they always checked parts on the legacy system, and I am sure that the new system Volvo use doesn't link properly for 400-series cars as Volvo probably couldn't be arsed to put this into the new system due to the age of the cars?

You should definantly be using 195/55/R15's on the Vesa GT alloys. However, I bought 195/50/R15's myself as they are half the price because they are a more standard tyre size, they also sharpen up the handling a little too. See pic below, you get an idea of how well they sit on the car as it does make the gap in the arches a little bigger too. (Bear in mind I've changed the Alloys, but it's the same tyres).
