Would 20et alloys fit a 480?
I have been offered a set of old vw alloys with an offset of 20et. I know they would stick out but would it betoo much?

20et sounds more like bmw fitment to me. I fittted a set of 20et deep dish bmw alloys to a mates old mk2 Golf (non GIT!)........ way too wide ! ! ! !
Was going to try them on the 480 but didnt have her with me at the time. Anything below 30et is starting to push the boundarys a bit if you ask me, but 20 would be possible depending on alloy size / width and the tyres your using on them.
You could always have a few mill ground off the alloys to bring them in a little bit depending on the style of them and how much alloy you have to play with anyway

They are designed to be used with a wide arch kit (i think), but 480 have such big arches the standard alloys dont do them justice.
The alloys are 7" wide and are 15" diametre

@ Robin, why not try getting spaced out on a set of standard 15's?
Dont know the name of them, but the ones Murf had on his turbo here look about the best of the bunch. I've been watching for some of these myself
If your running Personal Injury! springs your rear arches will probably cause the most problems... then it comes down to the tyre size. And if they still catch...... you could alwyas just modify the rear arches slightly!
