>93 480 rear suspension- spring cap removal, and bumpstop

Does your 480 have tracking-problems? Does your car pull to one side? Or is your steering wheel vibrating? Read the posts in this category to find out what's going on.

Should supercede those old threads telling people to prise the spring cap off with a screwdriver!

Fantastic :hopping:
This does tend to work actually, though i'd never do it on my own car.
Regardless, i'm not trying that method again! :(

Well mart it was usually ok, but i was driving the snake pass with a bit of load in the boot, and took a hard corner in a dip....the back end bounced and lost traction, and I only just managed to pull it back in with the throttle.

With em cut, i can take that corner 15 mph faster easily.

Well as an update, i can confirm Jerlab's method works wonderfully.
2 minutes with a hex-headed screw and the pin was out, very easy, not even damaged looking. :hopping:

Now to get on with finishing it off! :D
