Vibration

Post by royhedger » Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:43 pm

I bought a set of chassis ears to track down my vibration when pulling off. It appears that it's coming through the steering column.

The vibration only happens when pulling away and under load.
Does anyone have any clue as to what may be causing it?

TIA,
Roy

What condition are your engine moutings and the vibration damper in?

I put a new damper on it when I first got it. I'll double check it hasn't stopped working.

I asked a local garage to check the engine mounts for me a while back, and the said that they were OK then. I'll re check these to see if they've deteriorated.

If they have, I'm assuming they're no longer available?
