Tarox are pretty good. My fiat panda had drilled/grooved tarox disks, the "Race Japan" range. This was something of an excess on a 650kg car, but damn that thing could stop.

They were new in box when i got the car (sat on back seat next to a 50quid strut brace, also unfitted. ...Just so you don't think i'd spank 120quid on panda disks!

Nice find Mart - above are the non-hub version. £103. Think I'd be better of saving the £80 difference on solids for some go-faster stripes though, my ES is too slow to req g&drilled discs....

Tarox

Maybe some brands are good on one type of car but shite on another.
Heard multiple times that Tarox for 480 isn't good, however, I do not speak out of experience.

HI,

Is this also workable on a ABS braking system?

I'm thinking bout 17 inch wheels, but it would look pitiful with the standard brakdiscs in place

Does anybody know any other places in UK who would sell these in this price. I asked them and they dont sell foreign countries :( I would need new disks for my 460 and maybe my other non-volvo project too.

I have a set of black diamond drilled and grooved solid 480 disks sat in my garden.

I could get real brakes for the 480. These included HOMDV four pot calipers Ally carriers. Disk sizes varied on wheel size. With no need to uprate the master as the calipers were made in conjuction with the master for max performance for min funds and effort.

I can tell you from experience that most of the fast road pads are crap. I am currently running mintex c-tech pads on the T5 and I still get fade on a good run so now going to redstuff.

It sounds most interesting. I'm just about to order new brakeproducts. Took a quick peek at the reddot site but couldn't find any volvo 400 series things. You don't have some P/N or anything for discs (vented) and pads?

Thanks,

Lars
