The rear discs and pads were replaced 2 and a half years ago so fingers crossed that the allen bolts will turn easily...

Just like the sensible alan key set shown here. They have a lot less chance of stripping the bolt for some reason

Yeah, was gonna use actual allen keys, not socket set stuff- mine aren't as nice as those though!

I find the Draper set in the plastic holder are better than the usual springy keyring sets you see. Don't be afraid of giving that dustcover allen key a good whack with the hammer though VDG. It's a walk in the park compared to that disc retaining screw though, what a bad design to have the back end sticking out of the hub getting rusted up. WD40 is invaluable for both I found.

My hub retaining screw was ever so loose. Just undid it with a screwdriver and it come straight off! Looking at my discs though they seem pretty new so maybe they havent crapped up yet!

"Dust covers" or adjusters?
This has been a useful forum. I was trying to balance the handbrake between LH/RH, (LH wheel not locking) and was following the Haynes manual of adjusting the adjusters. Problem was, I was cranking the "dust covers" which on my car are 10mm hex head bolts. Nothing was happening! Then I checked this forum, and twigged the adjusters are 4mm grub screws UNDER the "dust covers". Du-oh. Shoulda called them 'lock bolts' or something. None the less, worked a treat.
PS don't have rust problems in NZ, but I would consider drilling & retapping seized hex key 'dust covers' in preference to stripping the caliper. The 10mm bolt option must be easier, knowing how hex key holes round out...
