Noise under braking

recently whenever I depress the brake pedal, I can hear some very noticable "glocking" sound coming from the rear wheels..the rhythm goes synchoronised with the speed until the car comes to a halt.

Is that brake problem? Or something worn out from rear suspension more like?

Not sure without hearing it - what condition are your discs (and pads) in on the rear? Mine's a bit noisy at the moment as the rear discs are ready for a change (pads are fine though).

mine do that when its's been standing for a while, 4 or 5 days, i put it down to rust on the discs,

it'll be murder this weekend when i finally (hopefully) get it going again, been standing (on bricks) now since early december!!

think i'll probably have to look at all of the discs before i attempt to move it anyware.

The brakes on my Celeb also make a noise after it has been standing for a few days, after a few yards they are fine. When I had my first ES the brakes made a noise all the time, when I eventually got round to changing the the pads were fucked, they were on the steel  No probs after they were changed

What we would do,when I worked at a dealership, was to pull up and slam down the handbrake lever a few times to help free the system. Also hard braking can help, but try and give your handbrake cables a good tug from underneath too to help to free these.

Good Luck!
