Ok-so i'm always firing questions but i need to learn! I hope oneday to be able to answer a post  But until then, here's something else.

When i brake from high speeds (even from about 50mph) i get a bit of brake judder-nothing major, but enough to make the steering wheel judder enough to get both hands on the wheel! I know this could be warped discs-i cant see with the naked eye, but i presume thats what it is.

I know needforspeed do a section on brakes, but i'm sure i've read somewhere that you can pick up a pair of grooved or drilled discs for about £35? Thts mega cheap i know...but i'm sure i didn't imagine it-or did i?

Alternativley, does anybody know of a decent grooved/drilled replacement for solid front discs? Something that won't break the bank?

Cheers! :D

Think you imagined that....I pay £35 for pads!

You can get grooved ones through halfrauds for £105....

Drilled I wouldn't use on the road - they have been known to shatter!

It was a nice thought while it lasted!

If you getting judder then your warping your discs, so you either need to somehow keep em cooler or move to a bigger meatier disc. maybe you should look at the turbo brakes.

another option which i have thought might work is to get a new set very hot so they warp (try not to warp em tho), and once they have the blue tinge then take em of and get them turned. this will then mean you have "true" set of trmpered discs that hopefully shouldnt warp.

ATE do grooved "power" discs for 400 cars - around £40 each.

A lot of other manufacturers do too for that money. But for me: I'd stick with standard brake discs and slap on some uprated pads - Black Diamond of EBC etc... increase in squeel but definatly more stop.
