turbo vented discs

got them fitted yesterday and they look great with the calipers
I purchased from benji (thanks mate they cleaned up great and
look fantastic in red)

so excited I took it for a spin having forgotten to tighten the wheel
nuts (lucky as f@*k ) nothing broke but I did have a

moment
when I thought of all that could have gone wrong
will try to get pics printed (I took pics of each stage )

is it true I need to take it easy for 5-600 miles (this is gonna be
tough

)

what disks and pads you got?

mine are brembo disks and kevlar ebc pads which are GREAT!!

Good job jaytee, what did it end up costing parts and labour?

My 850 friend just got some new disks and pads and like a nob just decided go hard form the out set, when we got home there was plenty of smoke coming off the disks. So i suggest going easy for a for a week or so.

I will ask the same question what disks and pads you go for?

Go easy for about 200 miles.

Then go out on mark moor or somewhere and do several hard brakings from 60- around 20, (do NOT come to a complete stop whilst doing this) untill the brakes fade. Then drive gently for 10 miles or so to let them cool down whilst rotating (to stop the discs warping) this will cure the pads and ensure they are properly bedded in

Then go home and bleed the brake fluid, as by fading them you will have boiled the fluid.

Once done, do what you want with them

thanks for the advice Chris I didn't want to end up driving like a nun
for 2 weeks .

as for parts it was

Â£50 including postage for the calipers (thanks to Benji)
Â£30 for red caliper paint , a wire brush sandpaper and a brush on rust
killing gel
the discs and pads came from eurocarparts and were the turbo's vented
items can't remember the exact price but well under Â£100
Â£1.00 for the bastard screws that had to be drilled out to remove the
old discs
and some beer for the next door neighbour who
