Hi people,
Both my rear shocks have collapsed and within a couple of days the brake fluid warning light has come on, could these be connected.
The brake fluid level is still above minimum.
I know its not ideal but I need to use the car for about 2 weeks before I can get the shock absorbers fixed. Could this cause any further damage?
Thanks
shocking...

Hi!
If you still have brakefluid in the container there´s no need to worry. When the brakepads wear , they go thinner and brakefluid will fill up the cylinder due to the wear. So it´s quit normal.
Low level is a good mark that the brakepads can be worn out, you will notice when the are out, then you will brake with metal to metal (squeeking)
BUT
Check so there is not leak, if a brakepipe is broken you would have noticed that the brakepedal will sink a little bit more than normal and you would have to brake harder.
