ha ha, VDG's turbo does exactly the same thing, he was telling me last night just how annoying it is and now both his cars do it

dunno what it could be without seeing it, could be a loose caliper mounting bolts, could be the discs and pads are worn down and have a lip causing the pad to stick to the disc.

My Turbo just rattles from the osr on town roads pretty much all the time.
Put it on the motorway and it's fine.
Mark, was it doing this with the old pollux wheels on?

Well, it's a 480 i suppose

My old one used to do that, it was the brake pads, were ever so slightly loose in the caliper bracket, so when i braked, the caliper would turn a mm or two and knock.
