Hello,
While searching on the forum, I have only seen people buying reconditioned calipers for the car. And now I am wondering if you can't rebuild them yourself.
I bought the ate rear caliper repair kit, but the pistons don't have the internal handbrake mechanism. Are they just the wrong ones or? Pn is 233902 of the kit I got
New one
And the old one

I bought a service kit but it was only the 'O' rings / seals and I think (from memory) I just cleaned up all the auto adjusters. flushed out with clean fluid (a few times) and I gave all the receipts to Cranna when he bought the car, unless it was from E-Bay.....
which on reflection it was as I'd ordered the wrong part and ended up with a set of seals for the front, which were used the following year, so not wasted .. . .
have you looked at this link from Jeff?

Yes I have read trough that post, but I didn't buy another caliper I'm just fixing the one I have as it was in good condition.

Sorry, totally missed this post, if you're still struggling, let me know. I'm actually part way through writing a very comprehensive post about rebuilding both front and rears (although to be fair, I'm probably the only idiot who'd every strip them down to absolute component form!)
