I need to replace a rear handbrake cable. I see that there a few listed and that most are 88 onwards and some from 91 onwards.

Does anyone know the difference with the early models? I can't seem to find one (on eBay anyway at a first glance) for my 87 model (chassis no. 509849)

Checked a few sources, and I can't see any difference

It appears that they all have a length of 1455mm

Assuming you are talking about the cables that run to the rear callipers and not the one from the handbrake lever Vadis shows two part numbers.

3414613 upto 1990
3456981 from 1991

If you look at Skandix the images of the ends are different and one is described as L/H even though Vadis says it’s both sides, no idea if they are interchangeable.

Hi

I have a 1990 Turbo so it is the old model.

I changed my handbrake wires this weekend with this one:

It is a swedish shop but its the same on both right and left side, and it looks very similar to Skandix!

I had a little problem with rust on the calliper's bracket but with some mild force everything come together in the end.
