Knocking when braking

Hi, I have a knocking when braking - beginning to feel it through brake pedal. Had this before when my car had been standing and had a patch of corrosion on disc, but my front discs are fine and I'm pretty sure it's the front. Rears need replacing - job for next week, I thought it was that, but I think it is the front :?

What are the possibilities/things I can check myself?

Does it more when I brake hard or at speed.

Thanks for any help :)

Warped disc maybe?

I reckon you'd be able to feel it through the steering wheel if it were the front though..

Good point...it's just so hard to tell where it's coming from :?

Thanks for your reply :D
