changing "vented" calippers for normal ones

Oke, I have a 1995 GT turbo with ABS and vented disks.

Is it possible, ( I mean :::) is it a direct fit to put the normal calippers on from earlier turbo models ??? and solid discs ??
Can it be done ??

The reason I ask is that for the older version Textar makes sport pads, and not for the vented ones.

Aren't the vented disks going to be more beneficial than the solid disks with uprated pads?

But I wonder how it will be if I fit Tarox G88 Solid discs with these Textar (sport) brake pads.

Black Diamond has fast road pads for vented discs but nobody can tell me something about Black Diamond.
