hand brake doesnt release on one side

Had a similar problem - piston was 'sticky'. I worked the piston backwards and forwards and made sure the caliper moved ok on its pins.

with seized hand brakes cables , sometimes this causes the hand brake to be on 20% lets say whilst driving which causes lots of heat (for agruements sake 300 degres C )

and not only does this screw the brake fluid on that caliper but can also seriously heat damage the caliper beyound repair .
