Post by Pink Lady » Tue Mar 17, 2009 2:44 pm

That casues the car car to pull quite suddenly during braking (not straight away) to the right! its is sudden and harsh!

the car has been lowered (not sure this would casue it)

I will bleed the lines this weekend but I just want to know any other casues, fixes, how to do's etc.

Cheers :D

When the bushes on the lower arms on my boyfriends escort went the car did exactly like that! The only difference is, the Volvos bushes last years, whereas the Escorts lasted 6months max lol!!

Just an idea, but there can be loads of causes, so just an idea to follow! ;)

It should not be the lowering that causes this , it ran for a while wih no problems so would suggest that it is not the springs . A quick check can also be done on the wheel clearance on each side between the top of the wheel and the wing.

The shocks can be checked by bouncing the car at each side.

To check for seized cylinder , jack up both front wheels and chock back wheels put in neutral then get a friend to step on brakes while the front wheels are spinning.

check for movement in the front wheels both laterally and vertically.

check you dont have a loose wheel.

check no contamination on discs.

check the back wheels if any of this does not help.
